Gold in the well at The Alamo

I was reading Marc's post about the GPR, and was reminded about the discovery of possible metallic object(s) in the well. I have read somewhere else on the discovery a while back. I was wondering if they ever found out if it was the missing gold or not? Does anyone know? omnicognic 8)

Actually, the "discovery" at the Alamo, was the street light overhead!? They were using an unshielded antenna, which sends signals out - both down and up!

Those guys did find a treasure in Texas though - then split to Arizona, but that's all I care to say about that (VERY painful) subject!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually!
There's more to the story!!!
I watched as a group, who got permission from the State, to scan, with a GPR, the area in front of the Alamo!
They did locate the well and dug up the sidewalk, there in front of the Alamo!(to the far left side, out about 100 feet or so,from the front door)
But!
They didn't find anyting in the well but the usually, trash (relics) !
