Roxie,

A little low-res to spot much. And, this might seem like bs, but I'm used to working with white, tan & brown rocks. . . Can you mark your images, like monk and wing?

No body has any suggestions or ideas about these photos? I ordered Kenworthy's book but it has not arrived as of yet. I would really appreciate your help. Thanks, Roxie.

Hey roxie..i think replies will be a little slow maybe. At least for me i am taking every opportunity to get out before bad weather sets in. It maybe the same for others.

roxie,
welcome to tnet and thanks for posting your pics.
\some basics/
1. Always, always take your pics from 11am to 1pm - if not then you have no real chance to
verify if your site is real or not.

2. Take all your pics with your back to the sun! As most Monuments face the South

3. Look for confirmation marks, ZOOM in on your pics and examine every inch..look for
letter, numbers, letters with numbers, compass headings, faces, shadows in geometric
forms.

Picture #1 Better if pic is taken at the optimum time! but looks natual
Picture #2 Ditto
Picture # 3 Ditto
Picture # 4 Needs a better pic, the 'heart' rock is laying on the same type of rock
and you cant tell where the bedrock begins and the heart rock starts
Your shadow cast down over the rock hides it even more! Always try
to keep you own shadows out of the pics.
Picture # 5 This one does look right, you can see what looks like marks of being worked
Take a compass heading of the way it is laying, does it match a cardinal point?
Picture # 6 Ditto
Picture # 7 Need a full shot of the Hoyo, to include the bottom as well as the top and sides
at first glance it does look like a coyote howling at the moon..like to see the whole thing.
Picture # 8 Looks natural to me.
Picture # 9 This one might be a Compass Rock. IF you can see space under and between the bedrock
Pioture #10 I cant see what you are seeing here, better time of day might tell the tale.
Picture #11 Ditto, here try the optimum timeline for this one too, to know for sure.

hope this helps

roxie i noticed your pics are dated 4/25/2009, i dont know if that is the correct date
as i never remember to set my camera date.
anyway when you get back out there, take more pics of the trees, from every angle,
the tree on the left, next to big rock, seems to have something at the bottom.
and i would look at the trees carefully.all i can tell you is what i see,and what i would do

cw0909 - Yeah, the date is correct. I took these when my dad and I went back out a second time. I didn't know what I was really looking for but took lots of photos. My dad has been sick and has had surgery. I was not able to get a hold of the pictures until now. I have been very anxious to have you all look at them. I never even saw the crosses.

Produce Guy - No, these pictures were not taken in Texas.

Okey Dokey - Never even saw the upside down heart.

Rangler - Thank you for your input. I did take the pics from 11 to 1 but it is really hard to get good light with all the trees. Yeah, I need to watch my shadow and take pics with sun to my back.

Curious to know if anyone sees the monk? Or is it even a monk? :dontknow:

Hey Roxie..

To me this heart is interesting. First off with the shadow it is a perfect example of the saying.. the way to a man's heart is through his stomach :D :D :D

But..I would speculate that is some sort of map or directional information on it. And there maybe numbers/letter on the left lobe.
