I like the first image. It seems to have been worked, since the "face" texture is different that of the rest of the rock. However, I think the rest of them are just natural occurences. Keep following the trail.....good luck.

I don't see ANYTHING else noteworthy.

I believe that your 3rd photo; the Daniel Boone pic, is an Ancient bust monument that was modified by the Spanish to mark a good camping spot. That large "7" has a long tail pointing down at the cave-like opening as a sheltered place for extended stay. This one large boulder has two different textures. The area of the "cap" is far different than the flat chiseled areas of the face as well as the under cut areas of "his" chin and jaw lines. This one is man-made, not nature made.
At least, that's my take on this one.

in the crock rev pic are those drill holes in the rock on the rh side also looks like a Mnt lion in frt of the drill hole rock looking left.

In the "crock view" photo, I see a triangular shaped pointer rock in the distance with some type of mark on it. (When blown up)

In the "crock reverse" photo...is that a "placed" heart shaped rock to the left of the opening? While I'm curious about those possible drill holes, that rock in the distance appears to have been manipulated to form a pointer to the left...so does the hoyo itself.

This view has some very interesting items to consider. That face in the upper left area that i circled looks like it could be a King's likeness. The partial face in the lower right area has a broad nose and thick lips with a prominent chin. There are 2 small pointer stones just to the left of the partial face.

Looking through the hoyo, you can see a prominent triangular notch.

Guru- I don't believe those are drills, see below.

Short- The just to the left of the notch there is writing, most likely from some couple I would guess.

Last is the whole scene across the canyon. I like the little guy on the bottom.

It all look very promising ..go for it! And lovely. Sandstone grows on you that for sure. Differing textures as in davy crockett can be caused by separate sedimentary events.. but it looks artificially modified to me.

Emt..i too saw that v up there ..think you are right on there.

ps: Don't those "s"s on ks and ls look quite different to you?

Here's a few things I see. I've adjusted the lighting and contrast to bring out the details; especially the worn detail areas.

Two animals. A lamb and a bear? Not sure.


I think the owl ears on the lower left runoff trench is natural. But, that is a pointer or elephant's trunk USED as a pointer on the right.


The adjusted contrast brought out some faint, worn details that I've loosely circled.


And last, but not least, the hillside. I've marked the larger items only. There are many interesting pockets of possibility here. This mark up will probably bring out the most controversy. LOL

Top right hand corner. Looks like a backward seven. I say that because I have found one myself. Got actual close ups? backward signs can be a trick.

Am not interested in chasing it just want you to have the best chance of finding what may have been left.

I dont have anything close up at the moment. It was towards the end of the day and about 60 miles out. I hope to go back out sometime soon.

OD - I had sent you a reply to your pm, maybe I did not send it correctly. It is right on the Colorado / New mexico border. It would be interesting to see what you have come up with. Everyone sees something in a different way, usualy only one or two pieces of the puzzle.

Is this place anywhere close to Segundo, CO? KVM was working on a very big Spanish project when he died, that was in a specific area of the mountains referred to as "something" de Cristo. (Yes, the memory is the second thing to go.) That project had a big part in his decision to settle in that area of Colorado. It was kinda his "retirement" project.

The word you seek is "sangre" de christo

it means "Blood of Christ",

that particular group of Mts is named such because of the red color that infiltrates everything.
If you ever get anything white coated in that red dirt you soon discover it isn't just the dirt ... it's permanent.
It will stain a pair of shoes, socks, even your car. and bleach won't get it out.
