In just a short while, I came upon an area that had outcroppings
All spread out around me.
The first large Trail Marker I could make out was an out cropping that looks like
A silhouette of a Pack Mule

This Trail Marker is a Pack Mule and looks like it is resting with a full load
Could this also be a campsite?
From my experience - a Full Pack could mean an Outward Trail?

This shot was taken in the early morning

Now that this Pack Mule Trail Marker had stimulated my curiosity
I started walking toward the Pack Mule and I looked around for a Vista Point
Vista Points are very important –
It gives you the best perspective for Interpretation

What I did notice was a stone that stood out from the rest

As I got closer other markers started to show up
Here is a close up of the Small Stone Marker
It seems to have some kind of markings on it

A Hoyo
Is just an Eye Catcher Trail Marker, using the sun light shinning through
a hole in the rock, so to catch your eye and give you direction.
But most importantly are the messages near by left behind
Don’t ever pass up the opportunity to visit a Hoyo
It is definitely conformation that you’re on the trail

The one on the left side of the Mule Marker was up High

Hoyo on the left side

I find it very interesting that this Trail Marker has two Hoyo - Meaning two trails
What I found was that the two trails ended up at the same location
For a newbie this can be confusing – one is false and one is true
And even more confusing is - if one is false and the other is true
Why do they end up at the same location?
Well you’re at the mercy of the Code Maker (Artist)
I will try to explain and give you my prospective of what’s going on

Let’s look at the psychology behind the thinking of the Code Maker (Artist)

Let’s start with the Hoyo on the Left Side
First of all it is located up High - so to be seen by anyone very easily
(Not very secretive)
And if you look close you will see what I think is a Skull Face
This trail Leeds to Danger – don’t go this way
This is telling me that this is the False Trail

Let’s look at the Hoyo on the Right Side
This one is located Low to the Ground – Not to be seen by everyone
(Very secretive)
No Danger signs – it’s just pointing out a direction

Why does the false trail and the true trail end up at the same location?
What is the reasoning behind the Code Maker (Artist)

Well the best way to show you is my favorite way - with Photos
And also this is the path that we must take,
To continue on our journey to the Heart of this Mining Area

The False Trail

Maybe it’s just me but the Danger Trail gets me excited
Only because my curiosity is high and I want to see what it is
So I start off with eyes wide open, only because I am on the trail to mystery
I head off in the direction the Hoyo indicates
And so the trail takes me along the side of a canyon.
After a short walk, I start to see a large rock out cropping
And my eyes are drawn to a Sunburst Stone reflecting in the sun

This Trail lead us right to the front of this Large Boulder formation
If we didn’t know better, we have just found treasure
Clear as day, there is a Death Trap that sets right in front of you

Right in front of you is the Large Cross Marker, pointing to the ground below it
On the upper part of the Cross, we have the Heart Marker
All this is in plain site for you not to miss (Not very secretive)
So start digging!

Well, the Code Maker is giving you one more chance to change your mind
He has left a message for those who know how to read the codes
They would know that this is, a Death Trap Danger Sign

Also, look at the Angle this Large Boulder is leaning

This is a text book Death Trap
This is what Charles Kenworthy would call a “Gotcha Boulder”
Ref: Death Traps to Treasure – starting on pg. 11

Well now we know why this trail was easy to find and follow,
And that the little skull marker at the beginning stated not to go this way
And the inexperienced would have been fooled

The good News –
It tells me that their trying to protect something in this area

Well the path to richest is not always the easiest one

This time we are heading in a totally different direction,
But along the same hillside
The next marker was not far at all and easy to locate
As I came upon this marker, I could see this one was looking like another Mule
