Ya'll don't let Mikel fool you about the trip. He's got game. Most of the mountain side we were crossing was at a 45^ or more slope.
He was there every step of the way. It was an honor to walk the mountain with him. It was a trip to remember. I'll put up a few more
pictures shortly inside the cave and ..... vault.
-Weekender

The only reason that I kept up was because Weekender was breaking branches and clearing a path.

But the greatest kindness was that he walked slow enough for me to keep up.

I'm probably wrong, and am just seeing aspecting in the image, but I thought I saw writing, drawing and a heart on the right hand side of the cave. Am I correct?

Chadeaux, I won't say you're wrong, but I don't remember seeing any writing or symbols on that wall. I know
sometimes that the pictures can show things that the eye's cannot see and I can see what you are talking about,
but I really don't think so. And, just In case you were wondering, the picture makes it look a little bit bigger than it really was,
I was just a little bit claustrophobic in there, that rock pile at the end was just hanging there, and up over the top, not sure if it was
any kind of a trap, but I gave it the respect I felt it deserved.

Howdy weekender,

Thanks for posting those pictures, and thanks for helping our friend Mikel on that final trip, and taking the pictures that were out of his reach. Good friends are truly a blessing. Really looking forward to reading Mikel's book.

This should be Weekender taking the photo, inside the other bluff that I tried to explain.

There are things that i comment on in this pic that do not look natural, yet defy explanation.

I didn't see them until I saw the pic.

Looks like rock stacked to resemble teeth and a gator head on guard. Rocks are confusing to me though if imagination is allowed..
A face in the pic in post 477 would have me backpedaling when spotted.

Yeah.. Those faces were the first thing I saw when I rounded the corner. Had me taking a deep breath or two.
Funny how your mind works in the darkness when you see something like that.

Weekender, I know that feeling all to well.
When I was in my late twenties, while exploring one of several caves, I had the lead crawling thru a short tube like passage. About four feet into it there was a short gap, only about eight to ten inches, but it went all the way around it.

I wanted to make sure not to spooke any bats, so I shined the light up sorta expecting to see some.

As I shined the light around and down into the dark crack, my eyes locked on to a rotting pair of leather gloves, hanging about two feet from my nose.

Yes... I did hit the back of my head. They looked like rotting pair of hands.
When the guy behind me asked me what was wrong, I just told him that I bumped my head.

No sense in spoiling the experience for the rest of them...

That was great guys. Yes there was a lot of writing in that cave. I couldn't tell what was on the sides but those face were looking to the left at the ground. It sure look like those rocks would slide down that way also. Was that cave on those people's land that you had contracted with ?

I enjoyed seeing those large places like that. It's easier on my eyes. You can hold the stuff here in your hand. Thanks for that.May God bless you all.

Bob, that cave is on the land that belongs to the folks at the top of the hill.

There was no opening to the cave, when we first started on the project.

Something powerful blew the big cube stone about four feet away.

Several large stones have moved and have left us scratching our heads..

Thanks, because I think the sites are set up the same. I wonder if the measurement are the same. Here all the clues keep directing me to go S.E but I feel the S.W is on the side of Christ. From my starting point. They show the S.W as the side of the serpent and the pit. I believe it's a deterrent used to deceive. What are your thoughts on this

Homar, I'm going to set up one of the ( before and after) photo sets that you asked for.

This is from the first day.
It's a photo of my laptop screen, that is a scan of a 35 mm print.

This one is from Weekender's photos on the last day.
We called it the odd rock, on the first day, and the owl on the last day.
He is standing with his back to the camera and his head looking over his left shoulder.

Chadeaux,
Thanks for fixing the photo, yours looks a lot better.!!!
Thanks
-Weekender

Best way I've learned for lightening photographs is using any photo editing program that will allow you to use layers

Duplicate the original layer, then for the "blend mode", select "Screen". Duplicate that layer if you need further lightening.

I have the original I downloaded from Tnet in a much larger, higher resolution version. If you want it I can make it available.

Bob. Were you referring to the photo in post 477 or post 484?

I may need to change my response.
