Asking questions such as you have asked will invite trouble. HAHAHA Just watch as all the whackadoos start circling every shadow and deformity in all the pics.
If it is indeed a treasure/mine site. There are other markings that should accompany it. I do see the heart. I don't see anything else that screams treasure or death trap. Maybe more pics. Many of the rocks ARE oddly balanced. Also, there should be a trail of monuments/carvings leading to the site.
Morocco adds a bit of a problem to this being a Spanish Treasure Site.
The Spanish didn't really spend any time in Morocco in the 1600-1780 time period. I would suggest a Crusader Cache, but they didn't use the heart (as far as I know) as a symbol for treasure.

Gollum, has a good idea about the possible treasure cache. The Moors were all over the place during their attempt to move west; into the whole of what's today Europe. The King of Spain got really nervous and practically BEGGED a group of Scottish Crusaders to run the Moors out of his country. One of my ancestors, Sir James Douglass, was leading one of the groups and was trying to take the heart of Robert the Bruce to the Holy Land at the time and allowed himself to be side tracked to Spain. Well, he was killed in one of the battles and his body and the heart of Robert the Bruce (in a silver box) were returned to Scotland and buried in the Catholic churchyard in Edinburgh. (or however it's spelled) As a side bit of info, it was Sir James Douglass, leader of the Black Douglasses who promised Robert the Bruce that he'd see his body was buried in the Holy Land.........NOT SINCLAIR. I don't know where Sinclair got into that story.
I tell this story as a background to the fact that many Coats of Arms of the Scottish, Irish, and Englishmen used a heart as part of; or the main, background. The Coat of Arms of the Douglass Clan of Sir James was modified to have a bleeding heart at its center because he died trying to honor his promise to Robert the Bruce. Back then, the heart was considered as the "home" of one's soul, so it could easily have been used by more people than the Spanish as a trail marker. It MAY just be pointing to the trail to someone's home (as in , "home is where the heart is") OR it could be a treasure location. You'll just have to look around for more signs and symbols and see if a viable treasure trail can be developed.
GOOD LUCK.

I agree the rocks are ..suspiciously arranged..depending on the size of some of the things you posted, looks like a ground support could break, and possibly some nice flat surfaces for things to slide on. Your original heart seems to have a left lobe particularly pointed and the cleft of course seems very sharp.
Don't know anything about earlier efforts to stash things. Some of the symbology looks familiar, but just from running across them in pics on the internet.
Electronics are your friend.
ps: if you construe IMG02101-20110730-1515_small_small.jpg as a man with a pointy almost triangle helmet in the space between the two big rocks,..I saw something similar where as best as i could figure it... one was encouraged to crawl under a big big boulder...way back underneath it to get to a very small eye catcher and dig out the back wall of that very low space below the boulder.
I could be wrong, but I took it to mean you will be crushed as flat as one of the pancakes I've been known to make on occasion,if you proceed. If that is a guy between the boulders in your pic, then it might mean something similar.

Moons is absolutely right about crawling into a cut or under any boulders. WHEN IN DOUBT; STAY THE HELL OUT. Could save your life. Be very suspicious of things that look TOO good.

its supposedly portugese, there was a map with camel, standin stone , snake , other, led someone else to area a while ago,
they were not family so were kicked of, ive been shown so am looking around for signs.
found the heart but was just sitting on ground, i couldnt imagine it had never been moved so was a bit suspicious of it.
pic 2091 and 2094 have huge boulders held up by piles of rocks, there is a 10inch high void under the big rocks which i photoed but used up my 12 pics on this post already?i think.
thanks for pointing out to look for an eye catcher in the void, i have pics but the blackberry is not great.
there are snail shells in one pic 2093 and loose dirt, maybe some one had a try at diggin already (i remember hetty talking about shells)
heart rock is in pic 2084 basically in the middle, the tiny bit of red is my mate round the side where the large boulders are propped up.
pic 2079 is the back of the whole lot, as you look, the heart side is behind the rock on the right, this rock is carved with the line you can see and some other bits, (one of) the only things i as an ametuer could definitly say was man made. the middle rock is the one propped up by the 3 rocks and has the big void. between this and the left rock is the rock wedged inbetween with loose dirt and snail shells
2086 looks carved, its around the heart side some where.
2090 is where im standing in 2094 , they look like hole for air for under the large rocks, maybe a cave there.
ALOT of the stone about look like they were not natually left there. its crazy, also the weathering of these rocks is really strange which makes it even worse. if you guys were here it would drive you mad im sure
there is ONLY ONE old small tree on the whole site, maybe somthin under that.
12 pics doesnt do this place justice, or my dodgy photography.

Joe90;
The 12 photo limit is per POST, not per thread. That's why you'll see some members make several posts in a row with several photos in each post.

#2 listen to Gollum
#3don't dig.
there isn't a death trap that I've seenyet but That isn't relevant.
digging destroys signs, the signs lead you on. If you have to go back...
you have nothing...
Guys,, the eye may belong to an elephant or maybe one of the dogs,,, and the ear may also be a shield, which I take it to mean,, this stash is defended. td
