    Tree sign decryption

    Hallo friends,

would like to ask an experienced treasurehunter to decrypt this tree symbol. What is most important there are 3 deep notches /marked/. Do not pay much attention to actual tree sign. Where to search ? What it could be? 3 long holes? This tree symbol was done by someone hiding the crates here at the very end of WW 2 in Europe.

    Thanks a lot.

It kind of looks like a medal that a U.S. Marine wears.

Maybe it means 3 mountain peaks in direction of and caches in valleys. Get a Terrian map of area where
this tree is and line it up and see if there is 3 mountain peaks.

In that direction is a flat terrain only/ i know this wood like my shoes/. Maybe the number of tree branches of this symbol can play some sort of role as for distance etc..It must be pretty simple and near, just to crack it

If it is Flat both ways and no peaks or hills, maybe it means creeks?!

No water ,no creeks, just flat surface with wood..I start to believe ,they are some sort of trenches or tunnels with stuff inside, just perfectly hidden..

I have not seen one just like that...but was wondering about the marks on the side of the tree around and to the left...and if any more marks are on this same tree...or the ones nearby.

There is no "td" here, just sort of cracking,we must realize that these carvings were done 75 years ago-look at the 3 notches how deep and readable are in 2011, tree symbol is some sort of auxiliary sing for these 3 notches...They did carvings so well to be able to see them even after 50 years when a need to lift a stuff easily and quickly..
