    Need Help With Tree Signs

I need help with figuring out what these trees are trying to tell me. This is mostly all trees. There is some small rocks around but due to development the boulders have been relocated. But I think there is gold in them hills!

This is on land that my Church is on, and if we could find something here it would help our Church out tremendously and help us bless others!

    Hey, justinmc:
    Welcome to the forum.

The first thing you need to do is work up a thourough history of this piece of land; owners and use all the way back to when Moses was a corporal. Add to that, the history of the county and state as far back as possible.

As you are learning the history of the LAND, keep a genealogical record of the owners and their activities. The reason I'm listing this is to give you the chance to find out if there might be a cache of valuable left there by previous owners. THAT is where most treasures are rooted........not the Spanish or Ancients.

You should understand that researching treasures of ALL kinds is the SAME as doing family genealogy searches. Plus, being an amateur genealogist is a perfect cover story for asking questions and getting access to public AND private records.

Just glancing at the photo, the blaze kinda, sorta makes one think it's a hanged man..........as in "hung from a rope". Maybe it happened. Stranger things have formed in nature.

Re: Need Help With Tree Signs

    Justinmc;
The main thing that jumps out at me are the YOUNG age of most of your trees. By that, you can rule out the Spanish and Ancients. That leaves possibly the KGC or a local group, OR a single individual setting up a vault of his own. That's why you must learn all you can about who owned the land and what was their economic situation. Concentrate on the last 200 years of history. Most of those small diameter trees in your photos are less than 50 years old, PLUS, those twisted up limbs could easily be from nature's storms reforming the trees' shapes.
Jmc, I am NOT trying to rain on your parade here. Just, asking you to use your common sense and look for any possible leads to valuables in your area without putting so much pressure on yourself in feeling you MUST succeed. Treasure hunting should be a more relaxed situation and not a high pressure JOB. And, lastly, be ready for disappointments as well as successes. "IF" is the biggest word in the English language............."IF" there is a treasure in the area; and "IF" you find a lead to it; "IF" you follow the "trail" of information faithfully; "IF" you finally find the spot where it's hidden (after maybe YEARS of search), THEN, you may find that someone has been there already and recovered whatever was there. This is why most professional treasure hunters research more than one lead at a time..........some, as many as 4, 5, and 6 at once. Treasure hunting has been romanticised , but it is actually a LOT of work with more than a little bit of disappointments. So, pull up your boots and get to researching. By the way, what lead you to discover that piece of metal your compass is resting on??

Re: Need Help With Tree Signs

I for one dont see the critters that you see carved onto the tree...not saying that they arent there, I without seeing in person am doubtful....what I do see in your last pic is encouraging....the two trees growing low and parallel to the ground are directional...what you call an A tree simply sight through the top middle and proceed... There is a tree that I have found that is always within 75 feet of the objective....I will never disclose this. Some things you need to figure out on your own. The fun is in the chase.....Steve

Re: Need Help With Tree Signs

    Thanks Steve
I have a tree that is close to this spot that has me scratching my head . Actually there are two one small 10 foot or so . The tall one is 30 feet or so with a Cross of some kind at the top . The long tree running across the ground has a small heart at the base . There are three small Hearts here they are laid out in a triangle and the smallest one is at the furthest point on top of a low mound.

Thanks for your everyone's help. I have had someone messing with my topic so please don't sabotage my post and try to take it seriously. If you don't like my post please go elsewhere.

Look at the tree I posted. Only marker tree in your pics.

Those other items you are seeing at the base of those trees are simply disease and decay.

    Sorry.
