it looks like a flat rock easily carried by flooding water any other markers nearby or above the falls, trees or rock formations

Mark... yes... I thought same. It weighs about 40lbs at least. However, a good flood could easily dislodge it.

also it looks like the line continue off the bottom and down the side in the photo, and then the at the top on the right line is that an odd hook on it ??, have you lifted the rock in place to see if there was anything on the underside of it?
