Only pic I have available. I would like you to explain why this is not Spanish. I'm certainly not calling you out at all, and you can disagree if you would like. I have hiked all over those mountains for many years and can back up my stance on this. I'm not sure if anyone has seen a 1000 ft tall owl monument, yes it may be hard to fathom however I tell no lies--I also believe there is more than 1 treasure I'm dealing with. Looking forward to your reply

When the leaves fall I plan on going back up that holler and getting more info. There's so many different trails here it's hard to decide which one to chase. I've found 9 so far going in different directions but they all seem to start not far from my home.

Explore them all, & even more the ones with the most signs?
I like your rock, it looks manipulated. Maybe you'll find more
signs when you get a chance to look this fall, good luck!

A few things here--what state is this in? Are there any treasure legends in area? Are there any more markings in this immediate area? I'd be glad to help you, just need more answers
I'll pm you later. No legends that I am aware of. Yes, much more...all on trees.

Just off the top of my head...second pic...profile of an Indian looking left.
I would not think the straight lines are natural. I was looking at another thread with a rock lines like that, and someone mentioned perhaps it was something Indians used to sharpen tools, but I have NO idea if that could even be accurate.

Did you figure anything else out with the dots, distance or measurements?
Nope, not a thing. I have no idea what to do here. What we do is to just keep walking, following hunches, and see what else we can find. I believe we have found the final tree, but no idea where to go from there. We metal detected there, but found nothing. We have to wait til late fall to get back there now.

Thanks for looking, at least they may be areas of work. :dontknow:
Not necessarily important, but some a bit other than natural.
Did you see the shadow triangle, thought it was unusual...
Good luck next time looking at your trees/woods.

Yeah it's in the last of the 3 pics in post you quoted above.
Attachment 1477513, from post #35 on pg. 3

Left & a little lower of middle in the pic, made of 2 half triangle
shadows, rock on left 1/2 shadow, & casting other half on the RH one.
Click larger 1X will help, 2X there's other possibilities around.
I'll take more pics when I can. Let me know if you see it.

Looks much less natural than the average in this part of the forum.
Is it in the stream? Running water can accelerate weathering.
I'd consider the relative spacing of the lines. One looks farther apart than the others.
You see three of anything in the area with a missing (hidden) fourth?

When the sun's at a certain angle, H E L is noticeable.
Heavily worn, but it's there, with shallow dots.
I's off to the side of a creek bed. Carvings
in the solid rock there are much deeper...

Nothing is popping out at me.

If you're interested, go back to the pic w' shadow triangle,
look right & see the whole boulder form with shadow & light.
The shadow in this case visually shortening the actual form.
Let me know if you see something with significance, that
was mentioned in sandy's guide markers. I learned to
see & recognize more with his insight, though much
of his markers are full light, & I see more shadows,
even some tricky=mixed light with the shadow(s).
