Looks like it's just blazed with the moss removed, can't really see an image from that angle. Maybe from a different angle it appears. Fairly typical it would be seen from only certain angle for mapping reasons to hide in plain sight. But it could just be a marker that was blazed to stand out, hard to tell offhand.

I just noticed it's supposed to be an eagle's beak. One of the eagles eyes is just above your shovel handle. The other is a piccaso like and at the connection of the beak. It says go this way/follow the beak/look where the beak is pointing, or look to the right of the beak for a trail or something that goes up the hill.

edit : it also says look right under that beak's tip for something, it may even mean to stand right there under the beak and look for something from that spot. I don't have enough info to say which one it is.

Most sign type things are giving you or telling you about a place to stand and look from, whether it be a positional place where you see something only from one position or angle, or a place where there are some peephole or peepsite type notch things to look thru or site down. That's why most are never figured out, they look for a spot to dig right at the place they were supposed to look somewhere else. Signs don't usually give the dig spot, they give a place to sight over to them or show the markers that go to them.

Yeah, that one looks more like a throne or a set of steps, but I would at a minimum look thru the hole. Probably a mine spot. You can't tell for sure on a lot of them until you look thru the peeps. They draw you over to them for a reason and then show you some place to focus on more often than not. Sometimes old mines and old crypts will be shown, sometimes not. Sometimes it's just an eye catcher for marking the canyon as a whole.
Sometimes it will show several spots to go to.

The better spot would be if you follow the crackline to the left of the hole I circled and peek thru that tiny peephole/side notch on the the left and figure out where it's showing. They aren't always easy to figure, but the terrain or something down below will stand out where you are supposed to go. I've seen this alot but I don't post them. Sometimes it will show a layout, sometimes something different. Alot of times when you are at one site or along a trail, they will show another across the canyon.

This is a short draw rather than it being a canyon, this is what I see, 1st a Turtle like figure (could be a Turtle or other animal), 2nd is a very odd Live Oak which remarkably has 2 trunks and forms the outline of a Heart....I don't know if that's possible of it being that old but it sure is remarkable that it looks like a Translucent type of a Heart or in other words you can walk right thru the Heart and just to the right of it (south) is the Sun Sign....The other points I want to make is there is quite a few old dead Pine Trees, 5 for sure laying in there as well....here's some pic's 101_3617.JPG 101_3618.JPG 101_3620.JPG 101_3621.JPG 101_3624.JPG 101_3629.JPG 101_3630.JPG 101_3773.JPG 101_3783.JPG

I do not know anything about Yucca Trees but several folks I've recently talked to say they live a long time, but do they regenerate in one place? What I find unusual or odd about these is that they are growing in a circle or square and is approximately 100 feet away from the Sun Sign. Just above the Yucca's is a Oak Tree with it's Center Trunk gone...Is that odd or what ? Then I drew out 4 diagrams that help explain this area....I will in another post a little later today post Pic's of those area's on the illustrated diagrams 101_4094.JPG 101_4095.JPG 101_4096.JPG 101_4097.JPG 101_4098.JPG 101_4099.JPG 101_4100.JPG 101_4175.JPG 101_4176.JPG 101_4177.JPG 101_4178.JPG 101_4141.JPG

Thats a very interesting set up, great photos and drawing of the lay out. I like the use of the trees. I get a gut felling of here, but i would never dig on gut feeling alone. Do you have a photo of Omega man? thanks for posting all the photos and lay out. View attachment 1600036

Wow nice photos HappyTrails55, I really like the Omega man, it almost looks like a gateway you have to pass thru right at him, the keeper of the site. I like how the site looks like its setting down in a bowl area, hidden well from a couple of sides.Strong Medicine.:icon_thumright:

Okay so I found out what the sun sign indicates...and what it points to, which is a old oak tree that has been ravaged by either wildfires or lightning, is burnt out, but still standing, on it's side are 2 Old Engravings cut deeply into it, now charred by fire and resemble BARS, one on top of each other (see pic's), within 50 feet of this tree is another oak which is a Indian Tree, then another Oak as straight as a Pine Tree, all form a Triangle.....But I'm interested in the BAR SYMBOL....What do the BARS Mean ? Thanks, 101_4223.JPG 101_4222.JPG

Remember Happy: unless in a straight line, three trees always form a triangle.
