And a very strange sign I'm not sure I want to post for the implications it may have.

We believe it is a directional, but it also has the "M"....which could be considered the Owl of Minerva, I believe ?? There are other markings following the "M", but it just doesn't fit anything we have seen so far. Really strange. I almost think it's another little Devil sign. Scary as H_E_double hockey sticks.

Maybe Mav1, our resident Devil expert, could lend his interpretation? ???

Devil expert? Lol. No, God forbid. You're looking at Melusina. Long-long story and not very well covered.

Desert trekking takes a little getting used to, indeed. Everything wants to 'get you' one way or the other. You need tall boots and to respect all vegetation.
Did you bring a walking stick? You could improvise, if need be. That will help you push away the thorny bushes and keep snakes at bay.
A painting pole will do, if nothing else is available.
Also, besides water, you will need a salt pill for longer hikes. You may be dehydrated and Not know it. NO joke. If you feel light headed even after drinking lots of water, and your body aches, then you are dehydrated without visible sweat. That's the desert's dry wind taking the toll on you. Take a pinch of salt with your water.

Melusina.....can't say I've ever heard that one. Interesting, you will have to update me. :icon_thumright:

I'm not so sure though, it's very confusing....almost Masculine. :icon_scratch: And I feel like I should know this one, that nagging sense of recognition just beyond my grasp. Ever feel like that? There's just....something. Maybe I should sleep on it, I sometimes get answers if I just quit looking for them. Have awakened talking to myself before, lol. Weird. I was really hoping you had a quick answer for me. It just looks so damn familiar. Arrghh! :BangHead:

And that's very sound advice. I am doing my best to stay hydrated, using that stuff that has both salts and electrolytes. Dog gave me a walking stick, but you are right...I need taller boots. Dog and I both have snake gators, but left in such a rush this morning we forgot them. Will NOT happen again. That one was rather aggressive. We are both carrying but chose to just let him go one way while we went the other. So much snake iconology at this site I figure he belongs there.

Melusina and Galea.

Melusina is at 5 o'clock, right low corner. It has a human face/head. The only lizard/dragon with fish scales and a human head.

The human/serpent depictions, usually are the opposite. They usually show a human body with a serpent head.

Depictions vary, but the subject stays the same.

I will delete this picture later on, to avoid confusion with your material. Give me the GO, when you're done with it.

Dang you're fast! Thank you, got it! That explains the weird Lizard thingy as well. :icon_thumright:

Yeah, hit the bed. Sounds like you had your hands full today. You'll get full explanations tomorrow on a clear head. Melusuna is also depicted with masculine head.
You'll see.

Did the M look anything like this one?

............and a waterway in between?

Melusina is across the wash or dried spring seep, from the stone chair facing west. I dont know how you knew to make the water way connection from one photo of a stone chair facing west. But iam sure glade you shared that info. Much appreciated Maverick1.
