What is it with all of the posts about stoopid cats, unrelated scenes from movies, and half baked google translate French phrases?

BTW, that carved word I posted is a name - the name of the guy who located the mining claim on which it is located. I was curious what the responses would be to the post. You know how I knew what the carving was? Easy - TH 101, it's the first place to start when you find enigmatic monuments, carvings, etc. in remote country. Take coordinates, locate it on a map, then go to the county courthouse and check the public records - GLO surveys, land patents, mining locations, et al. Facts are good, and it's nice to know that everything you look at are not "Jesuit treasure signs". Saves wasted time. No charge.

Yup. The info is available in the old Mining Locations books in the Grant County NM courthouse, for those who like to dig into old, hard-to-find records.

Now, the much more recent adjacent drill hole pattern is considerably more interesting and still puzzling. It's not a big deal ... more of a curiosity.

Your looking at it wrong. Look at the letters . Now look at the word from another direction. The main word is Sin. The first letter are two characters. Notice one has a cross on its head.. then notice figures above. Notice the shovel symbol? Remember how they work. They used letter and number to make word ect...

It's the name of the original locator of a mining claim in the vicinity, ca 120 years ago.

New Mexico was exclusive Franciscan territory, as ceded by a Papal Bull in the 16th century. However there were military reports ca 1700 that indicated some Jesuit intrusions, specifically on the Gila River near the mouth of today's Bear Creek. Some have attributed this activity to Kino, allegedly searching for a specific target. This is interesting. The Jesuits breaking the rules? Shocking!

The drill hole pattern deserves some map work for sure, something that's been overlooked so far. Hard to keep all the marbles within the ring when you're busy with other stuff. Oh, well, always plenty of time later.

Your Mine Locator had an interesting name. It translates as "IT IS" in Urdu, or "ETU ISA" (یہ ہے). Meaning "I AM".

Strangely enough "ISA", in Russian, is JESUS.

Good thing you found out it was just a name, you might have lost your religion trying to figure that one out.

That message is a mock. And is stated as such. The real message is on the triangle rock next to it. A triangle with a left bar on top (showing direction) and a shadow sign
within (dark) showing a cave or tunnel. A dark place.
About 80-90% of the solve is not shown in those pictures. The dots' pattern and the mini triangle rock shadow are hints to a larger area of research.More detailed pictures are needed.

But who's going to believe that......? Tricks of the right side of the brain.



P.S. ....a miniature black heart (as small as a dot) is smack on top & middle of the triangle rock. Go figure...

I understand. It's always hard when one loses a Mentor. Maybe he would have gotten a better reception had he ditched the cheese grater persona, instead of ditching the forum and taking his ball home with him. Striking out isn't always the end of the game, everyone gets a foul ball once in awhile. Stuff happens, dust yourself off and get back up to the plate.
