I second on reading "The rocks begin to speak" by LaVan Martineau, if you're interested in learning more about petroglyphs. But, even with as much time & research Martineau has put into deciphering rock art, he'll be the first to tell you that a good portion of their meaning has been lost to time.

The wife and me have been to quite a few petroglyph areas out West here. I've never seen anything like this...please keep us posted! They are still very cool!

Do you have a zoomed out picture or any pictures of the surrounding area? What state was this found in? Private land or public? Very very interesting.

These are very cool pictures! Where are you located? These rocks do tell a story! There is probably other signs other then this one! Look around maybe you could some artifacts or treasure! I have the book! I take a look to see if any symbols are in it. The book is awesome, I found my book at the library at the 1dollar table ! It has been the best dollar, I've ever spent! PLEASE POST A LOCATION, THAT WILL HELP ME ,AND HELP YOU!

You need to look for turtle rocks! They can be big and they can be small! These signify something the Indians needed to live and maybe a treasure or artifacts! Its probably a stream nearby. Indians would need water! Probably a graveyard somewhere near by ! Do you know if any gold or silver, minerals found in the area?
