Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found
lanny, I can really empathize with you, georgius, lh , jesus, and others who find areas with many many markers. I've come to conclusion 80% are simply to distract. They are wonderful to see and document and that is a treasure right there to me. But you can spend a lot of time just..looking, wandering and wondering just HOW dumb are you after all? A little dumb or a whole lotta od dumb. heh.. Well at least i feel that way sometimes.
If the area is larger...you may want to just focus on finding the trails and follow one trail at a time. You may also find one or two trail maps writ in stone telling you about the area.
On your rock..besides the possible bell, I see a possible lamb's head upper right, and in the middle a flying bird or possibly a winged man (mathew). On the left..what are those eyes looking at? Perhaps the other outlined rock..perhaps it has some info on it.
I've no special knowledge on the bell. I've inferred from other posts here on tnet - I think stilldiggin and maybe rangler - that a bell is a very good sign and means something is close. I'm not aware that it is related to church treasure.
Hmmm..the bell in the church calls the faithful to the true treasure of this world... perhaps a thought like that is one idea why the bell was possibly chosen as a symbol.

Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found
Yes I saw those later a while back but I could not make hide or hair of them, even if I could make out some
of the symbols I'm not sure what they would be telling me. I'm still trying to put two and two together
and trying not to destroy my sites. There are quite a few death traps around so I'm studying the situation.Thank
you for your in put. Later I will get in to maps, it's amazing you don't even know you are walking through
one some times.
Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found
Lanny,
Stilldiggin posted a blurb about keyhole marks,
you should be finding one nearby.
the rabbit as shown is a confirmation that tells you of an alternative entrance somewhere.
follow the signs correctly and they will show you how to get around the Death Traps.
Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found
There are usually two dogs on a trail,
They may have signs between them and usually do.
If you are able to follow them in sequence the first dog will be a light color, "white dog".
The next dog will be dark in color, "black dog".
The black dog tells you that you are close to the goal.
I have seen as many as 48 signs between a black dog and the death trap.
(just to give you an idea of what the "Spaniard " thought was close.)
Please note, dogs signify a royal trail. They do not always indicate a treasure trail.
Just as turtles do not always indicate gold or silver, the same is true with dogs.
I have shown in a previous post where the treasure indicated by a turtle was water.
a true treasure in this part of the country.
Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found
Thank you old dog for the hint on the rabbit, I went up there again but I could not find the rabbit or the
key hole. I had a great time will go up again shortly. I might have to go up at a different time to get a
better pic of the shadow rabbit. Will keep you posted.
Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found
Talking about rabbits, here is one at one of my other sites.
The #15 on the side turns to 13 at different angels, there are also two drill holes 50ft back from it.
They are over 5ft deep.I put my shovel handle in and never hit bottom, need longer measuring device.
Wish I could make a full time job of this, sure is fun. I'll have to put my nose to the grind stone and
figure out what site to work on.With every ones help,I have started to put a lot of the pieces to gather.
Time will tell.
Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found
First off not to miss lead you, I am still new at trying to unravel different symbols. As to the shadows symbols
being dark in nature I would tend to believe you are close to what ever the trail lead you to.Are there any other
marks or symbols to tell you what you might be looking for.[ treasure rooms, harts, dill holes,ect.. ] Any thing to help
get a better aspect of the meaning of the dog and dragon. We know the dog does in one way or the other represents royalty, mostly a trail monument. But is it leading you to a treasure room or just the area were the
mine site might be. How big are they and check out the direction they are leaning, or might be looking at. Again just my opinion with no pics it's hard to tell. I have a shadow owl about 15ft from an entrance of a room and a black duck head 30ft away. Will not dig there to big of a death trap , life is to short already. Hope the best for you!

I have seen many different kinds of dogs.
The first thing you need to do is figure out if the "dragon" isn't a type of dog.
Poodles are especially associated with the royal caches,
The king had poodles and designated them as royal dogs.
The face of a poodle can take on many different shapes due to the different grooming styles.
Several dragons I have been shown over the years have turned out to be poodles.
Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found
In post #1204 it shows a shadow dog and above it a shadow dragon. Hadji so cleverly spotted it. I had missed it. On this site there are so many signs that it is truly astounding. I have not been able to go up on top of the mesa where there are probably more unfound signs. I feel that sometimes this area is a yard of signs. I do feel that there is a treasure or was there at one time. There is alot of rock above this area that would suggest death traps galore. I like being on the top of the ground and have no wish to be under it, alive or dead. I'm looking at a 2 box detector, but do not know which one to choose. Any ideas?
Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found
There is a representation of my ideas in 1205.
the light creates many shadows as the day progresses.
the things that don't change are the things we often miss.
I am the only one to mention the face that leers out of the wall.
It seems to hapily do so.
quite clearly a sign in your face.
look a little closer at what is there and not imagine what might be.
Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found
After rereading my post from yesterday,
it sounded like I was being a little short.
I am not saying these things to hurt anyones feelers.
I do notice however that from time to time,
we reach for signs and symbolism that seem to exist in a crowded situation.
I find myself doing it form time to time as well.
We can either chase clouds or the actual signs that will show us a trail.
We are smart enough to discern the difference, without feeling slighted.
Re: Basic Spanish signs and symbols you have found
Here's a face for you. Not a rock that looks like a face from the correct angle. Not a face that you have to use your imagination to see. A real face - carved by man and weather-worn by time, but unmistakable in the mind of the later searcher looking for it.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.
