Head...no head...head with eye...or no eye....missing flipper....bent flipper. Its all relevent to the mason
whom made the marker....so there will always be differences in meaning due to the map the mason was
working to create in stone...different parties....time frames...and locations to include different states.

As the years go by and we visit different sites...be it our own...friends...etc. you will learn to read the differences
much better and see how the size and shapes vary...but are the same.

I have seen shadow sign's employed...which are a wonderful thing to behold as sometimes the level of
work that went into making the shadow sign is mind blowing. And so far with what I have seen....there
were used to show the true trail amongst the many dead end trails in an area....
