Re: Just saw this on the news..... Blackbeard's anchor
they say its going to go on "display" within a week or so -- iron takes a long time to properly "conserve" -- they ARE going to "properly" conserve it aren't they ? by the archie code they must "preserve it" for the future people to view it.
iron cannons and iron anchors are "money pits" ----they are made of valueless iron and take a lot of time and money to properly conserve -- while "cool" to veiw for a few seconds their cost to prepare for long term veiwing is massive *
Re: Just saw this on the news..... Blackbeard's anchor
ok I think point the fellow was trying to make is thus --how do they know that exact anchor goes to "blackbeards vessel"? -- I do believe the location it was found at was what they call "blackbeards" vessel's wreck site -- and since the anchor is of the right type and size and construction for the vessel they found and and is in the right location to boot --they are calling it "blackbeards anchor"
