    US Mint officer admits taking $2.4M worth of coins

    CAMDEN, N.J.—A former police officer for the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia has admitted to stealing $2.4 million worth of "error" coins and selling them to a coin distributor in California.

    I'm wondering if he worked in the ordering packaging section. That's the only way I can see how he did it. When the dealer orders rolls he switches the good ones with the missing edge ones and sent them to the dealer. If that's the case he was probably doing it for peanuts.

    Reject Bin,

    Or if it was a Pyramid Scheme.
