    1870 S 3 Dollar Gold Piece Estimated to sell between 2 -4 million

    Anyone got a few million I could borrow? Looks like this is the 2nd or 3rd only in existence. Not as rare as the 1933 double eagle, but it would be nice to have. Thoughts?

    a crazy story for sure! That's up there with the 1870-s half dime supposedly found in a dealers "junk" box". Odd that 2 off the rarest coins, same year and mint, are found in truely remarkable ways. I just wish I could be that lucky!!!
