It would be hard to resist taking those golden artifacts, especially if it meant putting more food on the table for your family. Here we can make that judgment call because we have an affluent society. If I found something similar in say Utah, I'd take all kinds of photos, then I'd cover them again and wipe out any signs of my having been there. Not because I'd fear the law, but because I respect the dead. AND because I'm not having a hard time putting food on the table.
