It’s a beauty spot which is something of a national treasure but a cave in the Peak District has been hiding actual treasure for more than 2,000 years.

mmmmmmmm???

"Walkers found four coins....."??????

Great find but cant help thinking a little illicit digging may have been involved? the number of visitors here every year and these were just laying on the surface?

Good they found more with a authorized dig and they can be saved for the nation.

Don't know why they used the term Roman coin hoard, when most of the coins are Celtic. 1st Century coin hoard is the correct description.
