Awesome relic !

at :23 he says it's loaded.

a Short time later guesses he was Cleaning it because of the Wire ?

One of those comments is probably Wrong :tongue3:
unless Maybe trying to get a stuck Misfired bullet out, it doesn't make sense to me.

That said The Guy said he'd pay 3 to 4 Thousand.
Knowing that show he only offered $1500 .
I'd tell him where to kiss & go directly to the Horses Mouth.

Hell, I would have said Sold ! Right there :laughing7:

unless he was pawning & not selling, or
just wanted a value.
Why use a Middleman ?
especially that thief.

Iron piece in the barrel...
A nail to hang it in the tree by running the barrel over it?
Loading rod separated ?( if blackpowder).
Ejector rod if centerfire?,would be a messed up piece and cylinder would not be secure / usable without it.

I've read more current account of squirreling a gun for recovery when crossing a border.
Who ever did not retrieve the featured piece and some one else has now.
An auction piece ,if the owner wants to part with it .
Pawn shop ,hmmm, no..

This is a very cool piece.

The only way I'd take something to Pawn Stars is for the video I would supply along with my private sale of the piece, for a whole lot more money than the PS guys will ever give you.

The following autoplay video after that one on shipwreck treasure is also worth watching IMO.

Not sure if anyone caught it...
Floats my boat anyway.

It seems that the show Pawn stars always takes pleasure in ripping people off. I do not watch the show but was sent the link from a friend.Pretty cool to be in cased in a tree!

Yea I watched PS the First season.

the 2nd. Season I got Tired of the Old Man,
the way they treated the Goofy Guy. even though it was obviously scripted.
And the Main Characters Laugh when he tried to be Funny or took someone over.
after that I may have watched one or 2 episodes when I saw a teaser or read a description
that advertised something interesting that was brought in. like the ships bell.

other then that I forgot the show existed till now :laughing7:

The show is not real.

I think the show is/was real .
but I also think it was more a antique road show.
people and antique dealers bringing in their best pieces for advertising and appraisal.
My guess it worked a Bit like Ebay. With the shop getting offers & requests
for contact info on people who brought things in
