Aahh, c'mon....the treasure didn't "claim" the guy, or cause his death, anymore than his birth caused his death. If he enjoyed being in the outdoors he would have found some other reason for being out there. We're always at risk....there are lots of ways to die. I've been wandering bad country, mostly alone, for decades, and I'm still here. I take responsibility for my own safety. Taking responsibility for your own actions seems to be lacking nowdays. People seem to need someone else to blame for the consequences of their decisions.

All it takes is one slip or being distracted and you can get hurt or killed in the woods of in town. There is no safety in this world, so we have to try our best to look out for ourselves, but sad that he passed. No amount of treasure is worth dying for, but we all have to be focused and prepared for life's dangers.

So true and i would rather die doing what i love.

LOL your comment reminds me of the day i found out i had cancer. I came home...still in shock and turned on the TV to get my mind off of the worst day of my life. The TV came on and in my face was the program (1000 ways to die!) talk about irony. I about flipped out of my chair but for some reason watched the whole thing.
