Indeed, they were restricted to their vehicles and only allowed to view the site when the Feds allowed them to.

It's as though the site were a crime scene.
Let’s just assume the FBI was convinced there was 7-9 tons of gold buried, either through discovery of long lost records, or convincing detection results, they would be tasked with removing and securely transporting a significant sum of treasure. We cannot get away from the fact that they WERE there digging with heavy security tactics in place. That says a lot.

To me it makes perfect sense to say one thing and do another. To be prepared for the worst case scenerio (security wise). In my mind all the SUV’s and armored trucks would be the perfect distraction...if any gold was transported out it was propably hidden on a crappy looking equipment trailer hauling the port-a-potty out. Least that’s the way I’d do it. Have the workers carry and load bricks wrapped in rags down by the intersection while the gold is stacked neatly in the shitter. Gotta realize they were under much public scrutiny because of the AP article. Lots of advance notice to plan a heist. Big pay day.

IF the story about the president ordering a secret payment shipment was true, perhaps the secrecy orders remain in place at the level of the current presidency? In other words do those types of orders just become invalid because of the passage of time or is it finally mission accomplished? What mint was the gold supposedly going to?

Just having fun playing “what if”.
I also preserve ownship of these claims and expect just compensation if my words or theories are included in any books, movies, or documentaries.

Ya, I questioned why? too, but privately... I also go my answer. I didn't know enough about what was going on. And couldn't figure out why everyone was being threatened with timeouts. But instead of making a post I PM'd my question And the answer made perfect sense. There are ways of questioning things with respect. Sometimes, it doesn't always come across that way. That is why they give warnings.

Looks like a lot has been removed since I saw the thread last. Either way...This is an interesting story.

There is a lot more to this. CBS had an interview with Dennis (FK). I saved it, don't know how to post it here. FBI would not allow Dennis to be on the site while they dug. They shut down early. But Local folks heard more digging going on late at night. Next day they showed Dennis the the hole that they dug and it was empty. Of course it was. See if you can find the CBS news report.

I'm just trying to understand what you saw on the news...

So did someone from the FBI say that they didn't let FK on the site, shut down early, and then showed FK an empty hole the next day? Or did FK tell the reporter this himself?

Did the reporter interview the people who heard the digging after dark or did FK just tell the reporter that he had talked to people who heard digging after dark?

    I'm just curious. Thanks.

Doubter - here's the national CBS article from Oct 9 that Simonds mentioned a few posts back:

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/civil-w...-pennsylvania/

Towards the bottom is where the "locals" gave their accounting of the FBI activity.

The answers are there if one seeks. Example Ryano posting what could be found if one took the time to look. Tonight me and Terry Carter were laughing on the phone about how the information about this event is out there, all one has to do is look for it.

Why is the maker of "Electroscope" confirming or trying to verify the gold find at Dent's Run. Everyone that has ever used the "Electroscope" know that the only part of the "Electroscope" that works is the battery meter. I own an "Electroscope" myself. They are a great conversation piece but I do not trust them to find treasure anymore. Research and hard work with metal detectors is all that can and will find treasure. The rest is your intuition and luck.

I have seen on the film that was made at New Ross site of Finderkeepers that one of their gang used an "Electroscope" and claimed gold was on the side of the well about 20 or so feet down. When they dug--------NOTHING was found. So we know intuition is as good as an "Electroscope" So this high tech equipment is only a conversation piece.

Then there is the GPL which is used by Finderskeepers which is purchased from a company called "Fitzgerald" up in Oregon. I purchased one of them myself. Claims of high tech and high dollar equipment. The GPL or Ground Penetrating Locator works great for finding voids, holes or caves, mines and tunnels but not for gold or silver. So here is another high tech, high dollar piece of treasure finding equipment that is a great conversation piece.

Then there are these high tech companies that come out and use satellites to map the sub-surface for minerals. I have seen them and have used them to map treasures for me. As far as I am concerned they are a great piece of high tech high dollar conversation piece.

Put quite simply there is no equipment made to find silver and gold under the ground at depths below where a good discriminating metal detector can reach and that my friend is less than four feet.

Why Finderskeepers and the State of PA officials were kept from the dig site is a matter of safety on their part or we can dream up wild stories of treasure being recovered and hauled away--------maybe even a UFO was took away piece by piece. All we have for verification is the word of the FBI and they said no gold was found.........

Then of course it is my understanding that there was a much older book on Dents Run and it had something about there being past recoveries made in the area. Those who claimed they proved nothing was there had no looked far enough back according to my sources. Still this made cbsnews! Then there is that fellow who posts and reposts the one article he appears in claiming nothing was ever there. This claim of the FBI coming in must be a serious threat to his claims. Someday we will have more answers on why really happened the day the FBI moved in.

Just because the FBI was on location does not prove that a "treasure" was on location. There was a matter of claims all over the Internet of the State or Park Service would not let Finderkeepers dig. And then there was claims that the Park Service had stolen their silver or their silver and/or gold. So then when a Federal Court Order was issued after the so called high tech equipment came in and their claim of 7 to 9 tons of gold and silver being on location. Of course then the Judge of the Federal Court had to issue a Federal Court Order to have this checked out. So then the FBI came into the story to check and out and verify these findings. I talked to the FBI personally on the telephone as well as their numerous claims in the newspapers. The FBI said, "No Civil War Gold" was found. The same they told me on the telephone "no gold was found." Now, you can keep stirring this pot and the stink will grow but all that will come of the story is maybe and this is just a maybe------Finderkeepers may get a reality show from their efforts but that is all.
