Hi All

I don’t think this story has hit the Main Stream Media yet, but in September there was a huge find of Celtic “Staters” in East Anglia. I have heard that it is over 1300 gold staters with the first one being simply seen lying on top of the soil after a field was ploughed.

I think 1300 staters found in one hoard would be a record in the U.K.

The exact location is not known to me. This will definitely hit the media at some point and I will add a link when it does.

1300 gold staters. Holy smokes. Nice Christmas present for some one.

Any idea of the time period they would have covered? Pre-Roman?

I did a Google search and found a little more info and images, if links to these sites are allowed.

(A UK metal detecting forum come up in the search but no info there.)
