No Fees for using PAYPAL follow these steps.

Don't send money through Paypal using the " Purchase " tab USE the "PERSONAL" tab
Keep the money in your account. Save your potential customer money too.
    Here's how its done....

Use this when dealing with TNET members...

Recent changes have made it easy to send money for free through Paypal.
    Difficulty: Easy
    Instructions
    Things You'll Need:

    * Paypal account

    1.
    Step 1

    Log on to Paypal.
    2.
    Step 2

    Choose the "Send Money" tab.
    3.
    Step 3

    Select the "Personal" tab.
    4.
    Step 4

Enter in the recipient's email address/Paypal ID and the amount.
    5.
    Step 5

Select a purpose for the payment. You can choose things like gift, living expense, payment owed, cash advance, or other. It doesn't really matter which one you choose, but when I send money from one of my Paypal accounts to another, I always choose "gift". or choose " Other" or " Services"
    6.
    Step 6

Click continue and you're almost done. Check over your info on the next page and click the "send money" button. Notice that, where it says "fee", there is 0.00. The recipient will also not have to pay a fee.
    7.
    Step 7

That's it, you're all done. Until recently, this free money transfer was not available and it cost you a percentage to send money to anyone. I spent a fortune transferring money from one account to another over the years. I didn't even know about the "personal" tab until I saw it by accident one day. Paypal didn't make a big deal about it when they added this option. You can't use it to pay for ebay items, but that fee is borne by the seller anyway. It's best used to pay people who need the full amount, like yourself, friends, and family.

It's always been free to SEND money with Paypal whether you use money in your Paypal account, a credit card or an electronic check. If you use an electronic check, the service fee is less for the person receiving the money. When you check reason for sending the money, check "non-auction goods" or "other". If you check "gift" or "services" this may prevent the receiver from using the "print shipping label" option. E-bay account holders get a shipping discount with the USPS and UPS. Do I really know what I am talking about?? My top year selling on E-bay part time was over $80,000 gross.

If you choose "gift", how are you gonna dispute it if you get shafted on the detector? That is one of the big reasons people like to pay with paypal, it adds an element of safety.

Im with GibH. Paying in this way would negate any recourse you might have if a deal happened to turn sour. Best pay the fees if you want the protection.

That's correct. I basically do the above when sending money to a child or transferring between my own accounts. However there is no point in paying with Paypal other than to gain some protection over unscrupulous dealers. Negating this coverage is saving a few cents but being sorry when a problem occurs.

I had to weigh the good and bad before commenting on this. If things go bad with a payment made using Paypal, you only have recourse if it is an E-bay action. Paypal only cares that the seller has a delivery confirmation. Basically the seller could send you a box of rusty horse shoes instead of that nice new Vision detector. As long as he can show delivery confirmation there is NOTHING Paypal will do for you. The only benefit to taking Paypal is not waiting a week or two to find out the payment was never sent. Your best protection is to call you seller and be sure you know who you are dealing with.

Once again, there is NEVER a fee to send money with Paypal, only to receive it.

    Regards,
    Ron

Yeah forgot to put ebay in the sentence, but thats where the protection lies. Pretty much on your own with anything else (payments).

True, but if a seller were to request a "gift" instead of a payment, I would be leery.

Some of you have the wrong thinking about paypal . they do protect the buyer. If the item you buy is not what you, order ,damaged or have nothing but rusty nail in it then you can fill a claim and get full refund for the amount you pay. ive used paypal for 5 years i had no problims at all . you just have to watch how you go about sending the money and get their email right then no problim

Let's see how long the fee free "gift" payment method stays available. I'm sure they will catch on if the Gift transactions sharply increase. Means less ching in their pockets, bet they keep an eye on the big picture........

You may have found it recently, but it has been this way a long time.. But when you post it on a global board, I am sure it wont take long for Paypal to get tired of people abusing it, and take it away....
