Sellers, if you are kind enough...
...I would appreciate, as a buyer, that you keep me updated on when you ship my item, what service you used, and what company you used . And, of course, a tracking # if available. Something very simple, like "your stuff shipped today, USPS Parcel Post, tracking # (if there is one) is XXXXXXXXXXX"
Most sellers in these forums are very considerate to their buyers...but others aren't.
To get my item shipped I need to pay in advance, that is logical. Now, is your turn. Please be considerate, that works in your own benefit in future deals.
If I need to email you to learn all the above, then you need to improve your service.
Sorry for this little rant!

That's no "rant" my friend--it's wise words that are well spoken.---Good, sound "business practice"---and as has been mentioned, should be S.O.P.----The only thing that I would ad--the buyer should stay in "good communication" as well (prompt payment, notification when payment has been sent out, etc.).---In other words--COMMON COURTESY practiced by both parties (buyer & seller). -------Del

Re: Sellers, if you are kind enough...
If you use your home computer to print the shipping label with an account at UPS, Fedex, or USPS it saves you a few dollars and some time at the post office.
Plus there is an option that will send an email to the person you are shipping to giving him the tracking number and expected delivery date.
I agree that giving such information to a buyer should be standard operating procedure.
