Re: WTB: Vintage White's metal detector

Hi! Ang, I have an old Classic II which I won at an auction here on TNet to help some kids. I gave it to the kid next door to use but he has since returned it because he got an Ace. It has the big coil 1500 about 15'' across I believe an a smaller 6". I paid $100.00 for it at the auction. I'll sell to you for $50.00 but you pay the shipping. Let me know and Merry Christmas Ang. Hi Charlie,

Do you have a picture of the Classic II; I'll also try to find an image online. What era is this machine?

Thanks,
Ang

The Classic 2 went on to become the Prizm 2...then was discontinued all together... if I am correct, it does not have a pinpointing mode.... more along the lines of a bounty hunter or something... good for decoration

It's a little newer than I was looking for; I'm looking for one made in the 70's. I found one on EBAY but the auction hasn't ended yet.

Thanks for posting the pictures.

Hi, I have a whites 2000di series 3 that I bought at a second hand store. It pretty much looks like the day it was made, BUT... I can't get it to power up, so therefore a wallhanger. I think it's from the 80's. PM me if interested, and good luck in your searches. Niffler

Re: WTB: Vintage White's metal detector

Ebay is great for browsing for the really old stuff.

Go to :

* Electronics > * Gadgets > * Metal Detectors > * Handheld Units

Then type in words like Vintage or Antique and/or Whites etc.

Yes, that's a very clean & nice machine...good conversation piece I might add! I'm really looking for a long box coinmaster late 60s, early 70s. I appreciate your note though, no doubt he'll sell it!

Re: WTB: Vintage White's metal detector

Sorry for the delay AlaskaAng...Holiday family obligations. Here are some pics of the 2000d series 3. PM me if you want it, I paid $20, so that's what I will sell it for, plus the buyer to pay the shipping. I also have a brand new never used whites Blue Max 256 coil that will fit this detector, which is why I decided to buy the detector in the first place. Thanks and HH, Niffler.

Hi Niffler, this would be a nice addition to my "vintage" collection, although I'm not sure what year it was produced, do you? Since I'm displaying it and not really using it, I wouldn't need the other coil. If you like, you can ship to me via parcel post and it would cost much less than priority (typicaly $1 per pound). Let me know what shipping would be to 99705, OK? Thanks, Ang
