Good luck finding one for that price. Cheapest my buddy found was 285, ans they seem to obly be going up in price.

You can find one in that price range. Just keep watching the classifieds. If you don't mind getting a white one as opposed to the black one you can get a much better deal.
I've seen 3 white ones go for under $200 in the past month...

I have a white one I would sell, along with the shaft that its mounted on. On my Explorer 2. I also have 5 coils for sale. The Explorer 2 is for sale. The items are all prime and well taken care of by this 60 year old man.

No, but everything has a finite life span. Would you rather have a 6 year old probe or 1-2 year old probe?

Good point, but that depends on how well something is made, take my old 1265 for example, aside from the bad design on the battery cover, them things..IMHO are worth their weight in gold, its been dropped multiple times, run over by a 4 wheeler, used as a club to crack a shinbone, also to fend off a crazed Canadian goose..lol, dumped into a lake..aka dropped and it still works just as good as the day it was made.
Maybe I'm biased lol not sure.

I paid 175 for the old version, found it from a guy on Facebook. Got it about 5 months ago. No issues with the transaction. Painted it black to match the E-Trac. Seems to work just fine.

They are out there.

I got mine from Vance MDing for $225 + 15 to ship. Is white, but looks and works excellent.
