Depends on how you want to go my friend! I used a number of cheaper ones, and then settled on a Stealth 920ix - big scoop and built like a brick outhouse. 5 seasons with it now. Instead of buying one of the commercial shafts, I went with a hickory post hole digger handle - a little heavier, but floats upright in the water - just gotta reach out and grab it versus diving for it. And it rang in at under $20.

That's the way my world worked out and I'm extremely happy with my set-up. Good luck with yours
