Not saying your refrences are bad either, but in the dictionary I used it said NARY meant missing.

Maybe it's :
"An even Code" + on(e) part nary
BI + NARY
*Binary*
And the crazy on or one is saying that the "ON" part of the code ,The 1...is 0.
An inverted binary code!
Seems plausible to me....but then we all see what we know, don't we?
