    I can't Stay Hidden?

As a matter of course, for the last few years, I have logged on and remained hidden while surfing and reading T-Net.

During the last few days however, I've had to enter my profile and select the "stay hidden" choice and type in my password (which leads me to think it's not my computer but something at the server end that is wrong) every signle time I log on.

I dunno... is it just me? I have a new PC w/Vista and maybe it's something here in my system...

Either way - it's buggin me.

Sounds like a compatibility problem that's caused by Vista. Vista is not completely "backward compatible" like the XP was for 95. Click on the "sheet of paper" icon in the square buttom on the right end of the address bar; between it and the "refresh" button. You'll get a bubble message that says "Compatibility View". After that, everytime you come to the forum it'll go into that mode. If you delete the contents of you "History" folder and your "Temp" folder and the "Cookies" folder, you'll have to click on that icon again. No big problem.

I hope this clears the problem you're having. Going with the "compatibility" mode will also prevent the "jumping jack" problem while typing a long message on the "preview" message page.

Yup... that kinda explains it 'cause I always clear the histories now. However, that never happened before and the compatablity thing has been done - it was effecting my responses.

I'll pay closer attention at this end and do some experimenting.

    Thanks!

You're very welcome. Hope that's what it is. Have you kept the Vista updated? I got my machine about 5 months ago and Microsoft has put out several security and other types of updates in that amount of time.

I never came back to follow up... Yes, it helped. I'm hidden again.
