Insulted

I have been coming to this site for awhile now. It is a very informative and mostly friendly site. The knowledge of it's people is outstanding. But I, and others like me, have been called "Freeloaders". I tried to contribute to the forums by helping to identify items and helping people when I could. I am not a charter member. I wish I could be a charter member of all the sites I enjoy. But I can't. I have enjoyed being here and would like to thank all who helped me. I will not be using any more of your bandwidth with my posts. I have never in my life been called a freeloader, and I will not be one here anymore. So to all of you, I thank you for the knowledge and the laughs. I will miss you all. Sincerely, Frogwizard.

I do however think that if someone takes THAT as a reason to leave, that maybe they are just fishing to "be offended" and post this as a way to "get back" at what they perceive as a slight, trying to make shaun7 "pay" for his "insult"?

Cause I see no wrong I follow you guy's post all the time (Ip,Crusader,etc.) I saw it as you two do with each other all along.You both are great help for all finds but the older ones for sure.I guess what I'm saying is if this was a offense then maybe you could also say that I'm offended because of my pictures I feel I want to post.It takes me alot of shots most of the time to get them all in.Not tring to be a glory hog just the way I have to do it.Bottom line at most a warning but I can't see deletion from TNET for this Deal when I've seen worse.As far as what is it fourm that's what it is for should had been posted somewhere else in my opinion.I don't use it much anyway (what is it) cause just never get much from it as I post but don't come away with much of a answer and have noticed over time from visiting that things get heated often in that part of the forum alot anyway. With all the disagreeing going on.Anyway hope this get's reconsidered.
.(Saying that I'll say this the forum is good when it's used right and the people in it I'ding things for people are great for the time they spend on tring to help others.My stuff most of the time are things that might be not worth the time or to hard to determine what it is as I'll usually try myself purdy hard before posting and that's all go for me.)

I you had seen the comment in context, it was clearly a joke directed at a friend I know well who was not offended in any way. If others who were not even involved in the post takes offence of a comment not directed at them, then I have to wonder what anyone can say to anyone. I can read many of these posts & get personally offended on the grounds of ethics & beliefs, but I have the sense enough not to get involved. This was never an insult, its was a clearly understood joke between friends.
If you are telling me I should be more careful about who I joke with then you are intereferring with my free-will. I will always try & not offend & those that know me on here should be able to tell the difference.

On a more serious note, it's very easy for something said to be taken out of context, if you feel someone has said something that your not happy with, then you should PM that memeber, and just clarify the matter, this could save a lot of greif before things get to the stage of being posted on an open forum.

I can see why it may have been taken out of context but I will let you decide.

This was in the context of me having just encouraged Garabaldi only 2 days previously to join as a chartered member which he did. The freeloader was directed at a friend as a joke.

thanks, I'll try & be a little more careful in future. Hopefully those that follow close enough will get a balanced view
