How do you handle Pull-tab signals?
Trying to see how many people dig the pull-tab signals.
Do you most often dig them?
- ignore them?
- or does it depend on how busy you are?
If you choose "Other" please explain.
Thanks in advance.

I certainly dig them if it's in a place where I might find gold such as a beach. Some times I notch them out to where I can arely hear them and turn it up and listen closer if I like the signal. Just coin shooting, notch it out. Monty

Like Monty, depends on the area I'm at.

Re: How do you handle Pull-tab signals?
It definetely depends on the area I am in, but most of the time, I tune them out. I know, I know, I have missed some gold rings that way, but in the areas I hunt, I would dig probably over 1000 pull tabs and bottle caps for each decent find. It just pretty much takes the fun out of it to me.

That's what I do now.
I used to ignore them, but in the last few weeks decided to start digging them
for a while, and guess what -
the number of rings I find jumped right up there!

Re: How do you handle Pull-tab signals?
There might be better signals in the same location. People seem to drop other items in that location at a later time and pulling the pull tabs out of the ground will remove that signal for the next time I hunt that area weeks or months later. The next time I hunt there might be another pull tab or a a ring. Who knows?

Re: How do you handle Pull-tab signals?
I start out digging everything, but after a while I just get lazy and skip over the pulltab signals.

Dig it! I once found a pull tab wraped around a silver dime 1964.

Generally I dig 'em, but sometimes in really trashy places I will skip them, at least the first time around.
