Re: New Poll: Who has found Reales, Who has found gold coins?
In my almost three years of metal detecting, I've been fortunate to find an 1825 George IV Gold Sovereign and 7 Reales (5 Half Reales and 2 One Reales). Here's the Sovereign and my best One Reale.
Re: New Poll: Who has found Reales, Who has found gold coins?
I've found a reale and a quarter. One of the reales is from Mexico and I found it in Ohio. Then I found a 2 bit piece at a war of 1812 site. I'll have to send the pictures to this forum when I get back from vacation.

P.S.
My partner found his first reale last week, it is a 1788 piece. I posted the pic this week, under the heading 1788 Reale found in dried up creek bed in Ohio
