If You own more than One detector......Please tell me How many different brands you do own....Did you want to see what the other detector had to offer that you were not getting in yours,,Or did you find (as I did) a good deal on a second one that you could use as a loaner?

I have a Fisher CZ6 and 3 Garrett Freedom II's. You can probably guess which one(s) I like best. Just bought the 3rd one for $80(used), but it has never been used.
I have and borrow a few different models. But what I'd like to pass on is this old 60's cvc tr-1000. Now this thing is old and weak, but it hunts fast so I use it for cleaned out spots for new lost jewelry mostly. Point being..even if you only got some old piece of crap like this, you can still find lots of stuff so don't be worried about all the high dollar machines out here. Just use what you can and adjust your tactics as to where you search hh. And when I do get better machines I allway recover old ground.
#1 Whites 5900 Di Pro first detector I owned 1990 weighs a ton used around the world
#2 Whites Surf Master (Dead) in pieces
#3 Fisher Gold Bug used in California mountains
#4 Whites Spectrum XLT Primary land detector used around the world
#5 Minelab Excalabur 1000 my primary beach and water machine!!!!
I have a Minelab Explorer II, Tesoro Stingray, Whites Surfmaster II, Teknetics and a Bounty Hunter Quick Draw.
I just need a Whites XLT(or maybe a DFX) to replace the Spectrum I use to have and miss so much, a Whites Beachhunter ID, A Garrett GTI 2500 and another Minelab Excalibur, New ones seem to be better made that the older one I had and a Detector Pro Diver - No control box just headphones would be nice. Then I would be happy for a while
Non? and I would never dream of going around with one and making an *ss out of my self
I don't think it's a requirement to own a metal detector to post on this forum, but this topic was a good one. I for one would not think that you would be making an *ss out of yourself if you were to use one. It's good clean (no pun intended) fun, healthy, and once in a while you can make some nice finds. Not to mention the friendships that are made.
You should try it.
