    Question on State parks

I know metal detecting is allowed in some or most State parks in Washington, but what I'm curious about is the procedure. Does one just fill out the card provided by the park service, deposit it into the slot at the park to be detected, and then go on your merry way detecting? Or does one have to first wait for a response from the park service permitting you to detect? Any help would be appreciated.

Fill it out and drop it in the box. That simple. Good luck Ray.
