Coming to visit WA

Good day all!

My son and I will be coming down to visit your beautiful state of washington and we are looking for some advice to where we could do some serious and fun metal detecting together.

We will be coming south from Alberta via highway 90. We are thinking of ending up in Seattle. But we are open to your suggestions.

Washington has a lot of state parks that are open to metal detecting and all you have to do to detect is fill out a permition form and turn it into the park office. There are a lot of old towns and farm land that have good spots for detecting. If it looks like Private property, then ask for permition before detecting and have fun.

If you show up in the next few weeks then you will definitely have fun. There is a big orange ball in the sky that has been peeking through the clouds lately

Don't know if you'll get this before you leave, but Seattle has a lot of old parks you can hit. Just be sure to fill all holes and check to see if there are any restrictions in any of the parks. Here's a link to some history: http://www.seattle.gov/parks/history/
