Anyone intrested in a group hunt for those of us in Washington?

I'd be up for it. I've been thinking of heading out to the old grisdale lumber camp and MDing around the old home sites. It by Wynoochie dam about 40 miles from Montesano by dirt road. Any one ever been there?

I have been around that area a little. My significant other is from Pacific Beach, and knows that area well.

I went up there with my sons this last weekend, found the camp and a lot of places I think are worth detecting. I'm heading back up monday (presidents day) to try a couple places. I posted a few pics on the main board. Heres a link : http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.p...c,70269.0.html

What area are you from? I am completely open to suggestions if you know a closer place and want to try to get some members together. I'm in Gig Harbor.

I am in Wenatchee. I am working on getting permission to a place that will knock your socks off. Think of Emerald downs......but abandoned in the 50's.

Zym, I live just north of you near Poulsbo. Been detecting for about 25 years. Looks like a great spot. I hunt some lumber mill ghost towns up this way similar to the one you found. Found lot's of Barber and Seated silver coins along with some nice relics. Should be some great finds there for you.

I live in the Redmond/Bellevue area and am new to metal detecting.
Trying to get the hang of things but I am a slow learner

Would like to try detecting with some others as well.....the Grisdale location looks like it would have been fun!
