Good locations in Kitsap Region?
Ok, So I just rented an Ace 250 from Sunbelt Rentals. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for locations to look at for a beginner. I was thinking state parks, but is that legal? Any ideas would be appreciated. Also, and general MD tips and tricks would be awesome!!

I am in Jackson Park in Bremerton. Are we allowed to look in state parks, such as Scenic Beach and Illahee?

Re: Good locations in Kitsap Region?
Bigwerd, here is a link that has some info on metal detecting here in Washington. There are a couple of detecting clubs in the area as well. You will find some contact numbers for these clubs on the site. Click on "Meetings" and you will see contact numbers for Ron, Terry and Chuck. They can give you info on joining these clubs. If you need more help let me know.

I knew Rick. Drove a beautiful aqua 56 Chevy, if I remember right. I worked at the yard in Shop 67 about a million years ago.

Re: Good locations in Kitsap Region?
State parks are normally off-limits, please check before you hunt there.
We all know there's no such thing as a "hunted out" location. Let's stop using that phrase to describe a park out of which you just dug a pile of coins! Obviously that particular place wasn't "hunted out", right?
