Great MD shop in WA

Hey Guys!

Thinking of getting a new detector? I just bought a new White's GMT for prospecting from Northwest Treasure Supply in Bellingham, and let me tell you... those guys rock!! (And, NO, they didn't pay me to say that )

Depending on where you're coming from, it's a ways to go, and a little hard to find, but waayyy worth the effort! I'm in Everett, so was looking for some place closer, and checked out Bedrock Supply in Bellevue. What a waste of time. They just have some stuff in a corner of their garden shop. Nice people, but they never heard of the Fisher Gold Bug ll (only the best selling gold machine), but they thought maybe they could order one for me. I called ahead to make sure they carried a plastic sand scoop that my buddy wanted, and they said sure. Got all the way out there and all they had was a scoop that looked like what you would use to scoop out flour. No holes! They had some sand scoops, but they were all metal! Tried to sell us a Garrett classifier screen that fits over a gold pan to use as a sand screen for beach hunting! Can you imagine carrying that sucker around on the beach all day? Ummm.. a little bit awkward! Like I said, nice people, and you could tell they were trying hard, but just didn't know diddley. Shoulda' just went to Bellingham in the first place.

GREAT service, knowledgeable staff, patient, friendly, great prices, good selection, sold by people who actually use the products and can give you the real pros and cons, no sales pressure, can explain things in terms you can understand no matter where you're at on the learning curve, really take the time to help you decide on the best machine for your needs, I just can't say enough good things about these guys...

I bought my Ace 250 from them about a year and a half ago, went back again to pick up some small stuff (gold pans, etc), and today I got the GMT, new headphones, a smaller coil, and a bigger sluice! But the amazing thing is, there was no difference in their attitude, no matter if I was spending alot or a little. They were just as friendly, helpful, and patient when I was trying to decide on a gold pan (about $12 - $14), as they were today when I spent several hundreds of dollars. I just really think they give service like it used to be, like it should be, like you can't hardly find anymore these days, so I wanted to let ya'll know... these guys are THE BEST!

Oh, yeah... and if anybody wants to do some prospecting... I got some new toys I need to figure out, and Mon,Tues, Wed, off!

Good metal detecting and prospecting shops are hard to find. You can always use a small plastic shovel, just drill a lot of holes in it and bam you have a sand scoop.
