#1!! WOW!!

Hey guys, i go to a co-op for school and for the past couple months several of the kids my age (about 25 of us) have been making our science fair boards. Well earlier this week was the day of the fair and out of the 25 kids i placed #1! I did mine on electrolysis, brought in Second Seminole War artifacts and got to talk about my metal detecting passion while winning the first place ribbon!! Wow!! One judge told my mother that all six judges had me #1 with many (if not all) winning in a landslide! I still can't believe it!

P.S. I also wrote a 400 word research paper on the science of electrolysis. Ions, electrons, atoms and so on and their role in electrolysis. And i also had a science log.

Thanks man! I'm thinking of re-doing it and trying to go to state. I talked with the judges and got tips to improve it.

Good job, one of the nice things about this hobby is can teach you more than just about metal detecting. Like research, different cultures , history etc. improve social skills ( people always want to know what you found)Stay inquisitive and learn all you can.

Oh i agree! Through this project alone, i taught myself so much about chemistry. I had to teach myself all about electrons, protons etc. and one of the judges said that my chemistry went over all their heads lol Which is funny cause until that point id never taken a chem. class

I would've liked to, (still would for that matter) but too many things came up. I've been pouring a lot of time into studying for the State Latin forum which is highly competitive, so unfortunately i just didnt have the time.
