Old G.E. table fan

I got this fan about 10 years ago while cleaning out a recently deceased relatives garage. It is in perfect working order. CAUTION: keep pets and children away!!!!! You can see why to keep them away. The blade is brass, as well as the cage. It weighs in at about 35lbs. The blade measures 11 inches. It is a 3 speed. You can loosen a thumb screw and tilt the head. You can also loosen another thumb screw and swivel the head. It also has the original cloth covered electrical cord, which is about 15 feet long, and is in excellent condition. Note the oil cups, I refill them as needed, and screw them back on. I was wondering if this fan has any monetary value.........NGE

That is interesting! The nameplate says it runs on 133 cycle ac. What is provided in the present-day power grid is 60 cycle. Hmmmm...

Not advisable to keep runing it on 60 cycles. That is a rare motor.

I'm not a fan "expert", but your fan does appear to be a collectible with historic value. I agree with lostcauses- I wouldn't run it at all, with the exception of demonstrating that it still runs if you are going to sell it. Go to wallyworld. Buy a cheap-a$$ fan and use that one. /.02
