Thin Ivory Sheets?

I bought this at a yard sale for $2 and it appeared to be a thick back and thick front of Ivory. When I got it home, I found I could open it and fan-out thin sheets of what also appears to be Ivory. Each page has a day of the week, no Sunday, but Monday though Saturday, each day's name is stamped in faded black at the top of each page.

The item appears to be completely intact, just no Ivory sheets for either Sunday or Monday. Why?

What is it and what is it worth? (Size is 1-3/8" X 2-3/4"-1/4" thick)

I agree as it looking like a note pad of such. The only business I know of not open on Sunday and Monday are barbers. Not sure but could be a ledger pad for number of shaves and haircuts performed or the like.

I see sheets for Monday through Friday and no Saturday or Sunday. Am I seeing things or are you?

I've added some new info. I found that a thin page was stuck to one of the thicker outside pieces, and I added some measurements.
