I find sharks teeth all the time here in Stafford down by the Potomac River but never found one this size - though I do see them in collections, I'm assuming you found this down by the Potomac?.. I don't know the value though maybe somewhere between $10-$50 ? only a guess though, the ones I normally find are like .20 cents each and lot smaller.. Awesome find though.

It looks like a Megalodon Shark tooth. Check Ebay's sold auctions for Megalodon Shark tooth and find a tooth about the same size and condition as yours. That should give you a ballpark value.

It is a river find but not the Potomac.
