Size ?

Need both before any kind of information can be given...
Please measure the "bore" of barrel... inner dimensions of "mouth"
length of barrel... and any markings IF any.

It appears to be what is called a "signal" cannon.

Signal cannons were used to "signal" with an "upshot" into air...
Many times was required by law upon entering harbors or waterways....
they were used for various reasons...
primarily... for signaling :)

P.S. This would not be used as a "weapon".
It is a very nice... and may just be a reproduction...
must see inside "barrel"... and other side before I can "sign off" on this.
ALSO... is there a "stand" ? or carriage ? that this goes with ?

Surely that is too small to be a signal gun. More likely a toy/miniature to amuse a family gathering. Possibly a souvenir from Spain or Spanish territory.

Sadly it doesnt have a stand. My dad got it at a yard sale for 10 dollars.

Very very cool piece... thank you for sharing...

Do some searches for "signal cannon" to find out some more info as to value etc...
Ball is in "your court" now...
I would not part with it for less than 250-300 if it were me and suspect because of style it is a RARER piece and could be worth more...
maybe even a lot more... to right person.

I know some places in europe use to have similar cannon to scare pest(birds, wild boar) but in that case the decorations may me think it must have been "on sight" so maybe as suggested a signal cannon
