Hi There! I was handed down two pieces of jewlery and I would love to know anything about them possible! Can anyone steer me in the right direction? My grandmother gave them to me when I was a baby and they were given to her by her grandmother. They definitely came from Europe somewhere as she was born in Germany and immigrated later in life. Who would be a good person to contact for an appraisal? Care to venture a guess at value?

Does anyone have even an idea of a maker? Or any teeny piece of info to steer me in the right direction? The back has some kind of stamp and "585". Second Item is a ring, unsure of gem--Garnet? It has a stamp (very hard to read) either says "333" or "335".

I would say your best started bet would be to take it into a jewelry store near you and have them just look at it. They can send it out for appraisal also.

I just found a piece of jewelry stamped 585. You should research 585 hallmark. My understanding is that the hallmark was used in Russia, or the Soviet Union.
