Hi guy's,
I was hoping to get some information about this little jug.

It is marked 925 A1, It has slight damage to the base, and is about 10cm tall.

Any idea's on age, value, location where it was made, and is it solid silver?

Sorry for the photo's, as it's not mine in my hands yet.

Thank you for any information.

Would I be close in guessing "middle east" going by the text under the eagle?

Sorry for the random questions.
Has anyone heard of A1 925 silver, or only EPNS A1?

Islamic Bedouin Dallah Arabic Coffee Pot, in perfect shape that one would sell for about 700 quid.

Is the crack all the crack all the way through, if it is then it is worth spot. You should see if you can have it repaired and how much that would be. If you can get that fixed for less than 75 then you should do it and start your bid price out at 650 and let it run from there.

If you get it fixed I can provide you with a proper market online for this item and give you some history about it.

Hi Oddjob. The coffee pot is sterling (I was a little concerned with the A1 mark)
I was quoted around $150 for repairs from a top silversmith. I am already about $50 into this. Aus dollars.

The jug is very small at only a tad over 10cm tall. So what are your thoughts? is this a genuine piece or could it be a souvenir item being as it's that small?

do you think I should have it repaired or just offload it as it is?

Thanks again for your wisdom.

I would first have it tested to ensure it is real silver, if it is real and you do have a market for it then sure get it fixed and sell it.

In regards to a tourist item, well many things could fall under that to include the free bibles they hand out at the vatican if you know what I mean.

925 on American silver means it's sterling.If I remember right .925 means it's 92.5% pure.

I had one that was 800 silver. Recall selling it for $650. It was a couple years ago. But paid $90.
