I found this 20 years ago in a ploughed farmers field just outside of Windsor Ontario Canada. Members of this site have identified it as a celt. I have looked at prices of celts on ebay, but I still wanted to ask the community what they think it's worth.

Nice celt. Around here prices are all over the place due to the influx of fakes several years ago. Really drove down prices. Probably $50 to $75 in a flea market. At a show? I don't know.

Is there a marketplace on this site?
Yes there is but only charter members can sell here. CM is $20.00 a year in dues.

It is a celt.....Worth is only what someone would pay,, I'm guessing maybe $50+/-, the bit has several plow nicks so that lowers what it is worth. No reference in picture to see size..

I put a Canadian Nickel next to it for size reference. For those who are unfamiliar with that coin, the celt is 5.5" long, 2.75" wide and almost 1.25" thick.

I've seen some of these for sale on ebay for as much as $350. I don't know if anyone ever pays that. But I'm going to put it up for sale on kijiji for $100 and see what happens.

P.S. I previously put it up for sale for only $40 on kijiji and someone from Nova Scotia (Canadian province over 1000km's away) wanted it within a couple days of being posted, but I knew I was underselling it so I took down the ad.

can someone educate us, what is a celt?
Looks like a river rock to me
I'm not trying to challenge the poster, just trying to learn

The celt is essentially an axe or wood-working tool with a hatchet-like cutting edge. It seems probable that the flaked double-bitted axe may have replaced the celt*

I don't think celts were tied to wood I believe them to be a hand tool... Nice find.

Celts were not tied, they set celt in hole in wood handle so that every strike forced stone tighter in handle. Pics are all same celt.
