I bought this in a bundle deal at a tag sale for 15 bucks. The eagle reminded me of a seated liberty quarter and that’s why I put it in the pile. After searching online it also seems to looks like the Eagle Hose on fire insurance plaque. Does anyone know what this skillet is intended to represent and be used for? Thanks for your help ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1507468510.931197.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1507468523.792147.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1507468538.762118.jpg

I don't know Electricbutter, but I like it. I love those Eagles. This Eagle resembles the Eagle on the brass breastplate worn by Yanks during the American Civil War. You did good sir.

To make decorative " Johnny Cake" ? Haha

It is poorly cast and most likely homemade.

Saw a similar skillet years ago same mark.

Thanks for all the info and great ideas. I’m glad it’s not a mass produced piece. I would like to believe that whoever made it was trying to express their American patriotism. Well I guess I’m gonna try to make some Plaster of Paris molds of the eagle with my kids. Thanks again. Ryan

First time I looked at the pictures, I didn’t notice the “makers mark” it looks like a noose and gallows, creepy
